Where it all beganThe Bio Extratus brand was created by nature-loving hairdressers.The companys history began in 1989, in a beauty salon in Belo Horizonte, when the owners were looking for a differentiated line of cosmetics, with quality and affordable prices.
Combining knowledge and experience, the former owners of the salon and current owners of Bio Extratus started an artisanal production of cosmetics rich in natural actives.In 1991, the brand Extratus – Produtos Naturais was born, a pioneer in the use of marrow oil in hair cosmetics.The first time we never forget“In November 1991, betting on product innovation and quality, two of our current distributors ordered the first batch of products for distribution in the Campinas and São José dos Campos markets.
The products were successful and that was how our distribution system started”.An example of courage and entrepreneurship“In 1997, our production was no longer artisanal.
We were a micro-company with an increasingly strong brand and our market was expanding.
It was in this period that the boldness and vision of the future of the owners overcame the fear of difficulties and encouraged the construction of a new factory, located in the municipality of Alvinópolis, 170 km from the capital of Minas Gerais.
In August 1998, Extratus Produtos Naturais changed its name to Bio Extratus Cosméticos Naturais.”As a growth strategy, the brand prioritizes the quality of its products and a relationship of appreciation to the opinion-forming public – the hairdressers.
